About the Role

The Service Manager is a key member of the Roots Natural Kitchen team, responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences and leading the front-of-house operations. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire their team to deliver outstanding service, while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and lead by example, ensuring that all team members are empowered to provide outstanding service.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, focusing on building strong relationships and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily front-of-house operations, ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant are running smoothly, including customer relations, restaurant maintenance, inventory management, and financial accountability.
  • Customer Focus: Develop and implement strategies to drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention, ensuring that every customer has a positive experience.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food safety and quality standards are maintained, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering, and storage, ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage labor costs, inventory expenses, and other financial aspects of the restaurant, ensuring that all targets are met or exceeded.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all team members, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned with company goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, with a track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Management: Strong team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver outstanding results.
  • Operations Management: Proven experience in managing front-of-house operations, including customer relations, restaurant maintenance, inventory management, and financial accountability.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, with the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain open and effective communication with all team members.
