Position Overview

SuiteSpot Executive Search, LLC is collaborating with a distinguished law firm in the Midwest to identify a Litigation Support Specialist. This role is essential in providing comprehensive assistance to attorneys engaged in litigation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee intricate litigation cases, aiding attorneys in the preparation of cases from initiation through to trial.
  • Maintain organized case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date within case management systems.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery materials as instructed by attorneys.
  • Prepare and submit petitions related to probate, administration, and guardianship matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and systematically gather, organize, and assess evidence pertinent to cases.
  • Facilitate and manage the discovery process, including handling interrogatories, depositions, and document production.
  • Summarize depositions, responses to discovery, and other critical documents.
  • Engage regularly with clients to collect necessary information, provide updates, and assist with documentation.
  • Support trial preparation by organizing trial exhibits, documents, and evidence, and creating trial binders.
  • Manage attorney schedules, coordinating meetings, court appearances, and monitoring filing deadlines.
  • Stay informed on developments in probate, estate, and trust legislation and best practices.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to the firm, its clients, and the community.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will hold a paralegal certificate, possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience, and have a solid understanding of probate and trust law along with litigation procedures. However, the firm is open to mentoring a newly certified paralegal or a less experienced individual.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a sensitivity to the emotional and personal needs of clients. Additional qualities include:

  • High energy, motivation, and organizational capabilities to effectively support the supervising attorney.
  • A demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt quickly.
