Position Overview

Genesis In-Home Care LLC is looking for a committed Residential Care Manager to oversee and manage a personal residence in a non-licensed environment. This role involves coordinating services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring that all care requirements are fulfilled while promoting a nurturing and organized atmosphere. Additionally, you will supervise a team of 5-6 Direct Support Professionals, guiding them to provide outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all facets of service delivery, ensuring compliance with the Individual Plan of Service (IPOS).
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to Direct Support Professionals, cultivating a culture of kindness and respect.
  • Develop staff schedules and manage on-call duties to guarantee adequate shift coverage.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, including incident reporting and conducting safety drills.
  • Maintain precise individual records and ensure all documentation is current.
  • Supervise the training and management of Direct Support Professionals, contributing to personnel decisions.
  • Facilitate monthly team meetings and in-service training sessions.
  • Manage household budgets, including meal planning and expense tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards, including State/Federal, CMH, and Recipient Rights guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a leadership position, ideally in a setting supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., MORC, BBP, First Aid, CPR) are advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to effectively manage and mentor a team.
  • Experience in scheduling, budgeting, and managing household operations.
  • Familiarity with community resources and initiatives related to individuals with developmental disabilities.
