ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior IT Auditor is a seasoned professional adept in the daily execution of audits and may have experience in leading audit engagements while supervising junior auditors.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Lead or assist audit teams in conducting technology, operational, and/or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits from inception to completion. This encompasses aiding the project manager with audit planning, scoping, and execution.
Evaluate technology-related risks at the engagement level and assess key technology controls.
Develop audit work programs and document workpapers and other audit materials that comply with all relevant professional standards and FIS Internal Audit methodologies, utilizing best practices in technology auditing as necessary.

Document and analyze detailed IT process narratives and/or flowcharts, identifying IT process risks and key controls. Conduct walkthroughs to test the design of controls, ensuring thorough documentation for all audit projects.
Review staff auditor workpapers to ensure alignment with audit methodologies and quality standards.
Formulate logical conclusions and communicate audit findings, providing actionable recommendations relevant to business and risk.
Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing audit outcomes.

Proactively manage the tracking of audit findings and documentation of status updates from management action owners, ensuring timely execution of remediation testing.
Lead or support special technology-based initiatives alongside traditional audit projects as needed.
Exhibit strong organizational skills to maintain an effective and efficient work environment.
Build and nurture professional relationships within the Internal Audit team and across business and IT functions.
Establish trust and credibility with key stakeholders.
Mentor and guide audit staff not only on assigned projects but also throughout their career development.
Contribute to a high-performance culture and stay informed on key technology audit methodologies and emerging technologies and their implications for the business.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a bachelor's degree in technology, information systems, business intelligence, accounting, finance, or a related discipline;
Hold one or more professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CFE, CISM, CISSP) or demonstrate a commitment to pursuing such certifications;
A minimum of three years of experience, ideally within a Fortune 500 or professional services environment.
While experience in the financial services or technology sectors is preferred, candidates from other industries will also be considered. Experience in regulated environments is advantageous;
Professional services experience from a Big 4 firm or a reputable consulting organization is desirable;
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
