Spacecraft Guidance and Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Guidance and Control Engineer to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of critical space missions, working on the design, analysis, and testing of spacecraft Guidance and Control systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the design, development, and delivery of G&C subsystems for various Earth and/or interplanetary spacecraft.
- Implement control and estimation algorithms, actuator and sensor hardware models, and dynamic simulations in MATLAB/Simulink.
- Develop and test ground software to support the integration of G&C testbed algorithms and flight software with flight and ground support equipment hardware.
- Support the coordination of on-board spacecraft time with universal dynamical time.
- Assist with the integration and test of spacecraft through scenario testing and data analysis.
- Support G&C spacecraft operations.
- Develop G&C analysis tools for pre- and post-launch activities.
- Possess an MS in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- Have previous experience or significant coursework in the design, analysis, or development of complex aerospace systems.
- Be skilled in analytical and numerical computing software, such as MATLAB and Simulink.
- Be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
