Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Set up stations and prepare food items for banquets and restaurant meals.
  • Start food items ahead of time, ensuring proper rotation and storage.
  • Check food for taste, temperature, and appearance, and perform quality control checks during meal periods.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare and submit requisitions for staple food items.
  • Adhere to hotel and kitchen sanitation standards, avoiding cross-contamination and following proper rotation practices.
  • Consult with Executive/Sous Chef on forecasted business volumes and maintain open communication with other departments.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or Equivalent; Culinary Program degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in food preparation.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, menu concepts, sanitation regulations, and safety measures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry and have intermediate kitchen skills.
  • Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler's card.
