About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team at Keystone Veterinary Emergency & Referral, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner. As a Lead Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on care to patients, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, triage, surgery/anesthesia, radiology, laboratory procedures, and administration of medications.
  • Lead a team of veterinary technicians in their performance of daily tasks, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor staff to encourage productivity and discourage behaviors that may be detrimental to the work environment.
  • Perform physical exams, accurately count vital signs, and obtain a history from pet owners.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of veterinary/lead experience required.
  • Previous ER experience required.
  • CVT preferred, but not required.
  • Must be proficient in surgery/anesthesia (ASA4/5).
  • Highly communicative, compassionate, precise to detail, and able to work under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of surgical equipment and sterile processes.
  • Above-average time management skills.
