About the Role

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Power & Manufacturing - Advanced Energy/Generation & Energy Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical execution of projects within the mechanical engineering discipline, ensuring high-quality designs and solutions.
  • Provide expert consultation in the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to meet client needs.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate project phases independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff.
  • Recognize technical discrepancies and make corrections following standard procedures, and recommend alterations to development and design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 10 years' progressive engineering experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to apply best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office software required.
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and basic business practices and laws related to engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with and advocacy for the company's standards for quality control and compliance.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead a team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
