The Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer collaborates within a dynamic team of engineers and designers to create detailed construction documents for various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and controls.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts engineering activities for the design of utility and HVAC systems for advanced technology facilities, such as cleanrooms and manufacturing environments.
  • Develops mechanical engineering calculations to support HVAC designs, including heat load assessments, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, and equipment selection.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant codes and industry standards applicable to industrial and manufacturing facility design.
  • Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive deliverables that incorporate diverse inputs.
  • Provides on-site project support and technical consultation to facilitate project execution.
  • Contributes specialized technical insights to studies and designs within their area of expertise.
  • Assists in formulating studies and design methodologies to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of team outputs.
  • Engages closely with project teams and other disciplines, as well as various design offices.
  • Participates in the creation of conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents, including calculations for system sizing and selection, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and operational sequences.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong time management skills, a solid work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A collaborative team player capable of fostering effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Self-motivated and energetic.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Focus on building and maintaining positive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam is preferred.
  • National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record is recommended.
