Retail Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:
As a Retail Operations Supervisor, you will act as a reliable resource for our clients seeking efficient and trustworthy financial services. In this role, you will enhance your leadership capabilities by supporting the Store Manager with account oversight, customer engagement, and risk assessment. You will play a vital role in mentoring, training, and guiding Customer Service Representatives, ensuring compliance and adherence to Company standards. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to adhere to established protocols will contribute to a professional and respectful atmosphere valued by both customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, mentor, and oversee Customer Service Team Members to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and Company policies.
- Evaluate financial transaction risks, process loan/pawn applications, check cashing transactions, and ancillary services accurately.
- Build and nurture customer relationships while executing daily inbound and outbound call campaigns to drive new business, enhance store profitability, and promote brand loyalty.
- Implement security measures and manage proper opening and closing procedures, including vault and cash drawer management.
- Supervise account management and recovery efforts while prioritizing customer service to mitigate losses and charge-off accounts.
- Ensure a compliant work environment by adhering to Company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct store audits and compile financial reports to maintain staff compliance.
- Maintain the store's internal and external appearance, addressing facility needs and coordinating maintenance services.
- Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively to meet both individual and team performance objectives.
- Commit to a full-time work schedule with regular, in-person attendance, including weekends. This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail is necessary.
- A minimum of three months of supervisory or relevant leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in phone systems, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A background check is mandatory (subject to applicable law).
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and navigating the store environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a leadership role within a sales or customer service-focused environment.
- Management experience in retail, convenience stores, financial services, or related sectors.
- Familiarity with check cashing, document verification, and money order processing.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous and may be required for specific locations.
