Position Summary

The Financial Planning Associate will utilize skills acquired through experience and training to offer direct support to Financial Advisors in a variety of client and administrative tasks. This role involves employing specialized financial planning software to assist Lead Advisors in delivering sound advice to clients. Key responsibilities encompass data collection, case design, plan formulation, and presentation. While the Associate may attend client meetings, they will not engage in advisory roles or decision-making regarding client matters.


Knowledge and Requirements

Preferred qualifications include a 4-Year Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of relevant administrative experience. Previous experience in a broker-dealer environment or the finance sector is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is essential for producing professional documentation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a polished and professional demeanor when interacting with both external and internal stakeholders. Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple detailed tasks and assignments with shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete high-priority tasks promptly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities to address routine client inquiries.
  • Familiarity with e-Money Financial Planning Software.
  • Successful completion of an FBI background check and credit check.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Planning Associate will:

  • Collaborate with Advisors to gather necessary data for plan development.
  • Utilize e-Money software and worksheets to input data and generate financial plans for clients.
  • Present financial plans to Advisors and clients, ensuring all relevant notes, action items, and follow-up tasks are documented in the CRM.
  • Work alongside Advisors, Home Office staff, and Software Support to analyze data, provide recommendations, and resolve issues.
  • Meet deadlines to uphold service expectations.
  • Respond promptly to incoming communications from Advisors and clients in a professional manner.
  • Execute project-related tasks to contribute to the firm's growth.
  • Coordinate and perform a variety of operational support activities as assigned.
