Automation Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

Technimark is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to assist with the efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will design and build new automation systems, ensuring all automation is operational. This includes assisting with the design, overseeing the installation, and completing the qualification of all new automation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Support automation projects globally, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Interface with customers and vendors on new projects, representing Technimark as the technical lead for automation.
  • Qualify new automation vendors globally, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain and improve all existing automation machines in the division.
  • Coordinate automation activities with outside suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Approve designs of new automation machines, ensuring they meet company specifications.
  • Manage construction time schedules to meet production schedule needs on new automation machines.
  • Responsible for procurement of purchase components from vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Assist in production start-ups as related to automation machines, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Assist with the troubleshooting of new and existing automation machines, resolving issues promptly.
  • Participate in the continual improvement of automation machines, identifying areas for optimization.
  • Assist other divisions with various automation projects as needed, providing technical expertise.
  • Maintain General Delivery Specifications for equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Develop specific specifications for individual projects, ensuring they meet company requirements.
