Medical Records Specialist

**Job Summary**

Randolph Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately recording patient demographic information in the Meditech system. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained and that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Collect and record patient demographic information via the Meditech system
* Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
* Collect copayments and deductibles at the time of service
* Collaborate with financial counseling to ensure accurate financial arrangements and authorizations
* Obtain reason for visit/ICD-10 coding documentation from physician's office or Advanced Beneficiary Notice signatures as prescribed by Medicare

**Requirements**

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 10 key calculator and keyboarding skills
* One year experience in a business/medical office
