Job Summary

System One is seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Write and maintain CMM and Vision System programs to ensure accurate measurement and inspection of products.
  • Gauge Design and Fixturing: Design and develop gauges and fixturing for CMMs and Vision systems to ensure precise measurement and inspection.
  • Calibration and Quality Control: Assist with the calibration of tools and equipment to ensure they meet national standards and are traceable to those standards.
  • Reverse Engineering: Collaborate with the Engineering Department to reverse engineer products and develop new measurement and inspection techniques.
  • Gage R&R Studies: Assist with Gage R&R studies to ensure the accuracy and precision of measurement and inspection equipment.
  • Dimensional Inspection: Perform dimensional first article inspection of new products and document results.
  • Capability Studies: Perform capability studies to analyze the precision and accuracy of critical dimensions.
  • Physical Testing: Perform physical testing of products and report findings.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; two-year degree preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: General knowledge of injection molding and manufacturing operations; good communication and interpersonal skills; basic computer experience; advanced blueprint reading skills; knowledge of advanced measuring techniques.
