Job Overview:

Tile Club is a rapidly expanding online tile retailer in the United States, known for its innovative and eye-catching designs sourced globally. Our California-based company offers an extensive selection of tiles, installation materials, and tools to meet diverse customer needs.

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual with a proven sales record in the Architecture and Design (A&D) sector, particularly in tile or flooring materials. The ideal candidate will excel in establishing trust-based relationships with clients while exploring new market opportunities. Familiarity with building products, especially in the tile and flooring domains, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a designated region, engaging with both existing and potential clients, including architects, designers, developers, and contractors. This role involves making 4-5 client visits daily, Monday through Thursday, with a focus on planning and meetings on Fridays.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and designers to identify key decision-makers and cultivate strong business relationships with influencers in the industry.
  • Evaluate customer inquiries and ensure prompt action is taken, coordinating with manufacturing and quality teams as necessary.
  • Facilitate online meetings to enhance collaboration between clients and the company.
  • Assist architectural and design professionals with product selection and design consulting to support their projects.
  • Influence product specifications aligned with the company's objectives, actively tracking projects in early design phases to drive specifications.
  • Assess the commercial landscape and strategically foster relationships with A&D professionals to promote Tile Club products.
  • Provide accurate technical information for product specifications and respond to market needs with timely follow-ups.
  • Engage in networking activities within the industry to effectively promote targeted products and initiatives.
  • Monitor competitive activities and strategically advocate for Tile Club's offerings.
  • Enhance product knowledge by attending industry events and conducting joint sales calls with company representatives.
  • Conduct product knowledge seminars for architectural and design firms, utilizing effective presentation tools.
  • Maintain organized sample libraries at design and architect firms, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest products.
  • Promote new products during sales calls, showcasing actual samples rather than images.
  • Conduct plant visits and tours as needed.
  • Provide daily reports and actively participate in weekly meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred membership in professional industry organizations (e.g., IIDA, ASID, AIA, CSI).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer relationship management abilities.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of sales experience in the tile industry, with a background in the A&D community.
  • An established network of architects and designers.
  • Experience in floor covering sales and knowledge of mosaic products is required.
  • Previous technical sales experience or customer-facing roles in commercial settings.

Competencies:

  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid technical knowledge base.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CAD, REVIT, and Sketch Up is a plus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain comprehensive project files.
  • Adept at networking and relationship building.
  • Ability to lift and transport samples weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time
