Job Title: Housing Manager

YWCA Dayton is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housing Manager to join our team. As an Exempt level position, this role is responsible for overseeing all housing programs and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, fair housing laws, and HUD regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the highest quality housing services are provided consistently and efficiently.
  • Oversee all housing programs, including Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Transitional Housing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, fair housing laws, state landlord and tenant laws, and LIHTC section 42 rules.
  • Communicate directly with owners in resolution of management issues.
  • Ensure compliance with housing contracts and grants.
  • Respond promptly to housing notifications from the county, GDPM, and other housing agencies.
  • Provide supervision to the housing team and foster a safe and positive work environment.
  • Generate and maintain required records, reports, and statistical data for programs.
  • Ensure that supervisees comply with agency policy and procedures.
  • Contribute to reviewing and updating policies and procedures for the agency.
  • Represent YWCA Dayton at relevant local and state meetings.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years housing program management experience.
  • 2 years supervisor, manager, and leadership experience.
  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Mental Health, or related field preferred.
  • 5 plus years non-profit, housing, domestic violence shelter, social work experience in lieu of degree.

  • Mission Understanding: Demonstrated ability to drive vision and purpose with a deep understanding and commitment to YWCA USA and YWCA Dayton's mission, vision, history, and programs.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated knowledge of fair housing, income-based housing programs, and HUD regulations.

This position is in-house only Monday - Friday (occasional evening and weekends may be required) and not remote at this time. YWCA Dayton operates 24/7 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, standard operation hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm. Applicants must be local with easily accessible transportation.
