Position: Dining Services Associate

At MBK Senior Living, we believe in creating enriching experiences for our residents and their families. As a part-time Dining Services Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for our cherished seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently take and serve food orders to residents, their families, and guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist residents in selecting meals and understanding menu options, ensuring their dietary preferences are met.
  • Exhibit proper dining etiquette while serving, including timely clearing of tables and maintaining a clean dining environment.
  • Monitor resident attendance during meal times and communicate relevant information to the appropriate staff.
  • Greet and seat residents warmly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all, especially new residents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, adhering to all food handling policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and friendliness in all interactions with residents, team members, and visitors.
  • Support community marketing efforts through positive engagement and adherence to grooming standards.
  • Perform table resets, dish returns, and assist in the overall upkeep of dining and food service areas.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for residents.
  • Report any safety or equipment concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with deliveries, stock management, and dishwashing as needed.
  • Deliver meals to resident rooms and manage tray collection post-service.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in food service is beneficial, but a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or possess appropriate work authorization.
  • Background checks as mandated by regulations.
  • Health screening and TB test required within the first week of employment.
  • Basic math skills for tracking meals and residents.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to operate standard serving equipment effectively.
  • Awareness of resource management to minimize waste.
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions with residents and staff.
  • Completion of dining room training is necessary.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
