Nursing Home Medication Care Specialist

Responsibilities- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments to residents, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Documentation: Accurately record medication administration, review daily logs, and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Resident Care Director (RCD) and Wellness Nurse to receive medication updates and ensure seamless care transitions.
- Risk Management: Identify and report potential hazards, adhere to infection control techniques, and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Licensure: Possess a valid LPN or LVN license, as required by state or province.
- Certifications: Maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid, and adhere to Sunrise's training requirements.
- Communication: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Problem-Solving: Showcase strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
