Job Overview

Position Summary

Engage in daily operations within the warehouse and yard, ensuring the safe handling of materials while maintaining precise records of inventory quantities and classifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inventory assessments by reconciling physical counts with system data, addressing any discrepancies identified.
  • Assist in the receipt of truck deliveries, verifying the accuracy of incoming inventory shipments.
  • Prepare outgoing Purchase Orders, ensuring all necessary shipping documentation is included.
  • Retrieve required components for the assembly or repair of finished products as specified in Work Orders.
  • Restock inventory items as needed to maintain optimal levels.
  • Report any inventory shortages or defective items promptly.
  • Support other departments with their inventory needs and ensure items are moved to their designated locations within the system.
  • Maintain inventory integrity throughout the warehouse by tracking product movements in accordance with established internal controls.
  • Generate reports related to inventory management.
  • Communicate with the Purchasing and Operational Departments regarding Purchase Orders, addressing any discrepancies between received items and Packing Lists.
  • Operate warehouse machinery, including pallet jacks and forklifts, and obtain necessary forklift certification.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols, promoting a safe working environment and reporting any safety concerns through the appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office and inventory management software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently and safely.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management within a warehouse setting is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to navigate the facility, which may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and physical demands.
  • Must be available for a rotating on-call schedule and willing to work weekends as necessary.
  • Utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hard hats, and safety footwear in designated areas.
  • This role is classified as safety-sensitive.
