Job Overview

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a proficient Facilities Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal performance of all facility systems, manage operations efficiently, and provide a range of tenant services. This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:30 AM to 6 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Engineering team in the effective operation, upkeep, and repair of all facility systems.
  • Facility systems encompass HVAC, water treatment, electrical, lighting, plumbing, energy management, fire safety, structural integrity, hardware, and key management.
  • Enhance skills in installation, fabrication, construction, troubleshooting, and repair of intricate mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Receive and plan work assignments, gather necessary tools, equipment, and materials; complete tasks and documentation promptly.
  • Exhibit knowledge of serviced equipment and apply service procedures indicative of high-quality work. Adhere to inspection and service protocols outlined in preventive maintenance and loss control programs.
  • Maintain safe and efficient operation of all equipment, power, and hand tools. Responsible for the care of assigned tools, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety in the shop, penthouse equipment rooms, and related mechanical areas.
  • Follow operational and safety protocols and demonstrate the ability to adhere to established mechanical/electrical system operating sequences.
  • Conduct inspections of all building areas, reporting deficiencies and suggesting improvements.
  • Be available for various shifts and occasionally work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays to guarantee adequate facility coverage and perform necessary repairs.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor and attitude at all times. Demonstrate excellent tenant relations, teamwork, and respect for others.
  • Assist in monitoring contractors, inspecting their work, and generating lists of deficiencies.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies such as fire, flooding, severe weather, power outages, and other situations, including cleanup activities when other personnel are unavailable.
  • Pursue professional development objectives as recommended by the Chief Engineer, Operations Manager, or Property Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Training and certification in HVAC or Operating Engineer technologies and/or relevant job-related training and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience or equivalent technical training.
  • CFC training and certification or the ability to obtain certification for the type of refrigerant serviced is preferred.
  • Commitment to continuing education in the field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills necessary for operating Building Automation Systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations.
  • Familiarity with DDC controls is a plus.

This role is 100% in-office, requiring work during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
