Job Summary

As a Catering Captain with Bon Appétit Management Company, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our catering operations. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery of services
  • Prepare and serve food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Director
  • May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and instruct staff on work expectations
  • Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications and assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations
  • Serve food and beverages to guests and ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law
