Catering Event Staff Coordinator Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Catering Event Staff Coordinator to provide exceptional catering services for our clients at special events. In this role, you will work closely with the catering team to deliver high-quality food and beverage experiences. Your responsibilities will include discussing menu options with clients, setting up and breaking down equipment, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring the smooth operation of food service.


Catering Event Staff Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement event menus that meet client requests and dietary needs
  • Set up and break down equipment, tables, chairs, and linens at event venues
  • Load and unload catering vehicles with food, supplies, and equipment for events in various weather conditions
  • Prepare and serve food and drinks; bus tables as needed
  • Attend to guests' needs during events
  • Break down and clean equipment following events; ensure the venue is left clean and tidy


Catering Event Staff Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in catering or food service is an asset
  • Current food handler's certification
  • Excellent food handling and preparation skills
  • Able to stand and lift for extended periods
  • Good communication skills
