Job Summary

As a Field Engineer at Cianbro, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction technology, equipment, and methods, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing project plans, value-added engineering means, and methods to ensure timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations, and educate the team on permit requirements.
  • Interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation and compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Provide engineering input to the daily job log and ensure accurate tracking of progress and productivity.
  • Collaborate with craft supervisors to ensure understanding of production goals and enable effective communication with crews.
  • Verify quantity tracking data and measure productivity to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor the progress of major vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and minimize project delays.
  • Maintain the project schedule and provide input to project leadership to ensure timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Generate and maintain project submittal logs, Requests For Information logs, and correspondence with clients and owners.
  • Identify, document, and estimate costs of extra work activities and provide proper notification and financial reporting of change orders.

Requirements
  • Requires a 4-year degree in engineering or construction management.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, and safety.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
