Job Summary

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) team. As a vital member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, you will work closely with nurses, physician assistants, and physicians in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Under the clinical supervision of a psychiatrist, you will complete psychiatric assessments, provide crisis counseling, and implement treatment planning for patients in the PES.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for patients in the PES
  • Provide crisis counseling and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Identify and obtain collateral information from patients' supports, as needed
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
  • Minimum of two years post-Masters degree experience with an acute psychiatric population
  • Certification by the CHA Medical Staff for practice in relevant clinical areas
