Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coach kitchen staff to achieve exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Assist in menu creation, labor control, and food cost control.
  • Manage daily operations of assigned food venues or production areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for kitchen staff.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Department to achieve business objectives.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of kitchen experience, including 2 years of lead cook experience.
  • Culinary education may be substituted for 1 year of lead cook experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and obtain a gaming license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or certification.
  • Knowledge of food preparation equipment and machinery.
  • Experience with menu creation and food cost control.
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card and TIPS certification.

Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in a restaurant and casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise levels, heat, fumes, and steam. Evenings, graveyard shifts, holidays, and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be necessary.
