Job Summary

American Heritage Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Account Services Representative II to join our team. This role is responsible for handling various aspects of member accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and HelpDesk tickets from employees and/or members.
  • Conduct quality control audits of IRA accounts, including rollovers, transfers, deposits, and term certificates.
  • Assist members and coworkers with questions regarding credit union products and services.
  • Provide training to Account Services Representative I.
  • Maintain contact with branches and departments to resolve account corrections.
  • Process PA Department of Treasury, SSA, and NTIS Decedent files according to department procedures.
  • Review trust, estate, and POA documentation, ensuring proper scanning and documentation.
  • Process court order, writ, and levy requests.
  • Review and advise employees and members on decedent account processing.
  • Perform annual IRA required minimum distribution (RMD) review and manage member RMD correspondence.
  • Review and complete reports for account accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Assist management with departmental quarterly SOP procedure review and submits corrections and recommendations.
  • Complete inheritance Tax filings in accordance with state requirements.
  • Complete escheatment process of all member accounts per State regulations.
  • Assist management with audit of Data Contribution according to department procedures.
  • Review, process, and complete annual CP-2100.
  • Serve as a backup and assist with adding debits and credits using an adding machine or calculator.
  • Serve as a backup to and support for all Account Services Representative I job duties.
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of all aspects of local, state, and federal regulations that affect the credit union.
  • Remain active in the University Program of American Heritage Credit Union and complete the position's present curriculum.
  • Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained in conjunction with our clean desk policy.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in a credit union or other financial institution.
  • Work requires knowledge of IRA's, BSA, fraud, loss prevention, decedent accounts, and additional software for Xpress Accounts.
  • Requires judgment to solve day-to-day problems but usually within established guidelines.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
Education
  • Four-year high school education.
Work Hours
  • Full-Time position.
  • Must be available to work rotating evening and Saturday hours.
