Job Overview

The Security Customer Support Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional service while managing dual responsibilities in Security and Registration. This role involves assisting various locations with enhanced registration support and providing security assistance as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining a highly visible presence in waiting areas to prevent violations of hospital policies and criminal activities. Serve as an advocate for a self-service model in patient registration. Accurately document incidents and other required information in a timely and factual manner. Assist team members, visitors, and patients with directions, lost property, vehicle support, escorts, and other inquiries. Ensure access control to restricted areas. Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members, providing necessary information. Manage verbal and physical conflicts through de-escalation techniques, physical presence, and appropriate legal measures. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role. Complete all required training and maintain necessary certifications and licenses. Act as a concierge by welcoming and assisting patients or visitors, including handling payments and co-payments. Conduct patient registration and check-in processes, verifying demographic and insurance details, and assisting with kiosk registration.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum age of 21 with a valid driver's license. Certification in First Aid from an accredited organization within 180 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's Degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Business, or Criminal Justice. Completion of a vocational/technical program or one-year certificate from a college or technical school. Two years of relevant experience in customer service, law enforcement, military, or related fields.
