Job Overview:

The Customer Relations Specialist is tasked with fostering and maintaining effective customer relations between clients and the organization, as well as collaborating with sales, sales representatives, operations, and engineering teams. This role involves processing information and addressing inquiries and requests from customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage customer inquiries and requests: provide pricing and delivery information, follow up on quotations, process return orders, and respond to order status inquiries.
  2. Oversee customer purchase orders: accept and enter orders, conduct reviews, communicate confirmations, and collaborate with engineering to fulfill customer specifications.
  3. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues: check the status of engineering documentation, address accounting discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  4. Follow up on quotes and secure orders, documenting reasons for any lost opportunities.
  5. Develop pricing strategies within established guidelines and secure necessary approvals.

Additional Responsibilities:

Review open orders to ensure timely product delivery and escalate issues as necessary. Provide accurate and prompt responses to customer inquiries and escalations.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate's Degree

Experience: 5-8 years in Customer Service or Inside Sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and web navigation.
  • Ability to interpret company manuals and customer requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills for calculating discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Problem-solving abilities in varied situations.

Work Environment: Office-based position with no direct reports.

Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, or hear; ability to walk and use hands for various tasks; clear vision for close-up work.
