Job Overview

This position encompasses the responsibilities of both Security Officer II and Security Shift Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF SECURITY OFFICER

  1. Protect the assets of the organization.
  2. Implement security protocols and departmental policies as instructed by the Safety and Security Manager or Shift Supervisor.
  3. Execute all security-related tasks within the casino environment.
  4. Oversee the secure transfer of cash and/or chips.
  5. Conduct thorough patrols throughout the casino to identify potential safety risks and security breaches.
  6. Carry out investigations on reported incidents as assigned.
  7. Examine cases of employee misconduct against the organization and patrons as directed.
  8. Review accident reports as necessary.
  9. Fulfill any reasonable requests from Management.
  10. Adhere to attendance standards and comply with regulatory, departmental, and organizational policies.
  11. Maintain cleanliness in work areas, ensuring they are free from hazards and debris.
  12. Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  13. Uphold appropriate uniform standards, appearance, and grooming.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

  1. Enforce departmental policies and procedures as directed by the Safety and Security Manager.
  2. Oversee all personnel assigned to the Safety/Security Department during shifts to ensure the protection of guests, staff, and property.
  3. Plan and coordinate security operations for each shift.
  4. Conduct follow-up investigations on reported incidents as instructed.
  5. Ensure all reportable incidents are accurately documented and entered into the database.
  6. Investigate employee misconduct against the property and patrons as directed.
  7. Review accident reports as assigned.
  8. Address any reasonable requests from Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, candidates must effectively perform each essential duty. The qualifications listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

All employees must be familiar with all company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, regardless of weather conditions. A comprehensive understanding of casino rules, regulations, and procedures, along with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, is necessary.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License, as well as First Aid/CPR certifications.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Effective communication in English is required.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are required.
