The Staff Development Director is responsible for managing and directing the Nursing Services Department. This includes planning, developing, and evaluating educational and on-the-job training programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in staff development and training, and be able to provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of in-service educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Assistant Director of Nursing Services in managing the Nursing Services Department.
- Plan, develop, and evaluate educational and on-the-job training programs.
- Incorporate commercially produced instruction material and training aids into existing in-service programs.
- Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of in-service educational programs.
- Develop and evaluate the quality of in-service educational programs.
- Secure and maintain records, reports, and instructional materials related to in-service educational programs.
- Work with consultants to implement recommended changes.
- Assist department directors in obtaining and scheduling speakers for in-service training programs.
- Ensure that in-service training classrooms are properly prepared before training classes begin.
- Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Coordinator in developing and implementing a quality assurance program for in-service training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in staff development and training.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary: $75,000-85,000
