Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activities Director to join our team at Watertown Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive activity program that meets the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement activity programs that promote resident engagement and well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify resident needs and preferences
  • Plan and execute events, activities, and programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards of practice
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in activity programming or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of adult development and learning principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field preferred
