Position Overview: In the role of Legal Investigative Analyst within our dynamic legal team, you will play a crucial part in identifying, investigating, reviewing, responding to, and resolving issues related to the misuse of CoStar's content and services. This position necessitates significant interaction with personnel across various levels and departments, particularly in sales and customer support. Strong communication skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to analyze and convey information efficiently through email and phone interactions are essential, along with meticulous record-keeping and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, prioritize, and investigate a diverse caseload of inquiries, including unauthorized use of CoStar services, data theft, and infringement.
- Monitor and respond to issues such as password sharing, unauthorized access, and misuse of CoStar services or content.
- Engage in communication with parties involved in suspected misuse of CoStar services.
- Document processes and maintain organized records and case materials.
- Support initiatives aimed at safeguarding CoStar's intellectual property.
- Provide investigatory and other support for legal matters as needed.
- Advise business team members on appropriate licensing practices.
- Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry and CoStar's business model and technology.
Qualifications for Internal Candidates:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited, non-profit university or college.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an internal role, with knowledge of real estate, real estate technology companies, and CoStar products and services.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to a frequently changing workload.
- Ability to analyze, translate, and comprehend data effectively.
- Excellent analytical capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel, including functions, data entry, and data organization techniques.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated commitment to previous employers.
Preferred Experience: Experience in identifying and resolving password or license sharing issues, conducting licensing reviews, protecting intellectual property, corporate investigations, digital forensics, data analytics, or similar fields. Evidence of strong academic performance in college is also preferred.
