Job Title: Legal and Business Research Analyst

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Legal and Business Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research across all practice groups and business units, providing research support to attorneys and business professionals, and staying up-to-date with new products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research using various databases and resources, including Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg Law.
  • Provide research support to attorneys and business professionals, including training and guidance on the efficient use of firm resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and services, and lead demos and trials, resource evaluations, and product recommendations.
  • Assist with other research tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in law, library science, information science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years' of research experience, either within a law firm or a professional services organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research databases, including Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg Law.
  • Strong knowledge of library systems and workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
