Position Summary:
As an Associate Technician within the Railroad Water Resources division, you will be responsible for developing engineering and design plans focused on hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for Class I Railroad initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with technical personnel to determine optimal strategies for addressing engineering and design challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in standard computer-aided design tasks, including advanced plan production and entry-level design principles under moderate supervision.
  • Receive guidance on project goals, advanced features, and potential solutions.
  • Seek assistance for complex issues and have work reviewed by senior staff.
  • Conduct engineering support activities such as data collection, maintaining computer files, preparing drawing copies, and documenting design modifications.

Travel Requirements:
This position requires travel to various job sites, which may involve diverse terrains and weather conditions.

  • Willingness to travel to job sites as necessary
