Position Overview

Houston Engineering, Inc. is in search of a seasoned Water Resources Specialist to enhance our team:

  • Develop, organize, and critically assess project analyses, documentation, and design specifications for water resource initiatives.
  • Oversee field operations and construction activities for water resource projects, including but not limited to dams, levees, rivers, and lakes.
  • Guide and nurture junior engineers to evolve into proficient water resource modelers, designers, planners, and project leaders.
  • Participate in public engagements concerning civil engineering water resource initiatives.

Key water resource projects that this position will engage with include: hydrologic and hydraulic simulations, stormwater management, river restoration, design for flood mitigation and water quality enhancements, as well as watershed-scale planning and studies.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in water resources engineering, ideally within the Midwest region.
  • Possession of a NE Professional Engineer's License or the capability to secure one within a specified timeframe.
  • A passion for leadership and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
  • A valid driver's license and readiness to travel as necessary.
  • Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship at any future point.
