Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team at ExpertHiring. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and reporting on agency financial processes and records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Maintain and update the general ledger accounting system on an accrual basis, prepare daily and weekly financial statements for the CEO, and prepare monthly financial statements for management and the Board of Directors.
  • Cash Management: Handle cash management, prepare financial and statistical reports for management, and monitor the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns and reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure and monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures as well as local state and federal tax policies and laws.
  • Grant Funding: Prepare financial reports as prescribed by grant funding sources.
  • Budgeting: Prepare the annual operating budget in accordance with UFMS including all attendant schedules, assist the CEO in developing the annual budget for Board approval, and perform budget analysis and reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare annual budget and attendant schedules for all funding requests, prepare budgets for grant applications, and monitor and report variations from budget on a monthly basis to management and the Board.
  • Reconciliation: Prepare annual reconciliation of unit cost as prescribed by Medicaid and ODMH.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience.
  • Certifications: Ohio CPA license highly desired.
  • Skills: Experience with healthcare nonprofit or mental health/behavioral health finances highly preferred, experience with business software including QuickBooks and Excel is required, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
