We have an Associate Electrical Engineer position available in our Winslow, ME location. This position supports WM customers' Electrical Power Engineering efforts primarily in the Electric Utility market. It will also contribute engineering support to the Winslow, ME manufacturing facility for the simultaneous execution of multiple projects.

Responsibilities include:
  • Engineering and design support from project conception through execution
  • Develop customer-specific construction specifications
  • Develop P&C one-line and three-line
  • Develop detailed P&C schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Apply NEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO, NERC, OSHA, and other organizations' regulations and standards in the provided designs and installations
  • Work on the detailed design for Industrial and Utility low, medium, and high voltage generation and distribution electrical systems
  • Provide control enclosure manufacturing support and designs such as station electrical service, lighting, cable-tray, AC load center, DC load centers, battery sizing, and other facility design requirements. The work includes the drafting of these designs.
  • Complete Arc Flash Evaluations for low and medium-voltage power systems
Other Responsibilities include:
  • Communicate effectively with WM project teams
  • Interprets policies and procedures and ensures they are followed within the business unit
  • Maintain awareness of budgets of assigned projects to be met for the business unit
  • Program microelectronic relays (preferred but not required)


Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Identify sales opportunities, have the confidence to suggest scope changes with justifications, have the ability to network across targeted industries, and assist with the overall development of the business unit.


Requirements:

  1. Education - A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required.
  2. Experience - Relevant internship is preferred, but not required. EI/EIT preferred.
  3. Skills - Strong computing skills, such as MS Word, Excel, PPT, etc. Proficient in AutoCad. Knowledge of electrical design software, such as, SKM, ETAP, PLS-CADD, etc. is preferred.


Physical Demands of Position Seeing, color perception, hearing, listening, clear speech, dexterity in hands. Ability to perform the minimum requirements and meet deadlines as required.

Working ConditionsHybrid mix of standard office environment and work-from-home: frequent use of a personal computer, facsimiles, copy machines, and other office equipment. The ability to travel for client/project needs is strongly preferred.
