Job Overview

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, Irvine is seeking a Clinical Instructor in Neurological Surgery to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician to contribute to the department's mission of providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and training the next generation of neurosurgeons.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as assisting with formative and summative assessment and simulated activities related to the department's programs. The Clinical Instructor will also have the opportunity to participate in research and educational activities, and contribute to the development of new clinical programs and services.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurological Surgery or a related field, and have completed an ACGME-approved residency training program. A DEA license and California medical license are also required. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
