Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for filling orders for medications, monitoring patient medication therapy, and providing drug information. Additionally, you will supervise and direct support personnel, preparing medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, and dispensing medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviews, prepares, and dispenses medications according to accepted standards of practice.
- Actively participates in all clinical activities within the department and/or facility, including patient and/or staff education regarding medication(s) and documented interventions within the real-time clinical surveillance system.
- Effectively manages departmental resources.
- Provides quality, patient-specific drug information and recommendations to healthcare workers and patients.
- Establishes measurable yearly goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Certifications: LIC-Pharmacist License - Tennessee
- Work Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree
