We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of clinical laboratory tests.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing routine and stat clinical pathology testing, reporting results in a timely manner, and utilizing basic problem-solving skills to assure accurate and reliable clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides patient-focused care in a clinical setting through the accurate performance of routine tests through the pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic stages.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Actively participates in compliance and quality management activities.
  • Consistently promotes teamwork and utilizes constructive communication and collaboration skills.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Medical Laboratory Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • Work Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Education: Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program
