Job Summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our wound care department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients with complex wounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide wound care services to patients with various types of wounds, including diabetic foot wounds, pressure wounds, and venous leg ulcers.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds and develop treatment plans to promote healing and prevent further complications.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest wound care techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in wound care or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
