Customer Service Specialist Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Store #702409 in Bluffton, SC. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, and recommending the right solutions.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be expected to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, while consistently meeting the store's sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service, assist customers in person and over the phone, and build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain precise work order files and formulas, pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and stock shelves and set up displays.
  • Product Knowledge: Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options with customers.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Age: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Driver's License: Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Education: Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
