Role Overview:

The Territory Manager plays a crucial role in representing and promoting the Arbella brand while establishing strong relationships with our independent agents to enhance and maintain profitable business. Collaborating with Personal and Commercial Lines, the Territory Manager formulates and implements marketing strategies aimed at driving sales, managing expenses, and achieving profitability aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies that drive business growth and align with our corporate goals.
  • Meet sales production targets and ensure the profitability of the portfolio.
  • Formulate and manage agency business plans, including new business objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Adhere to underwriting guidelines while exercising sound judgment in managing the portfolio.
  • Oversee a designated territory to support production and profitability goals.
  • Create tactical plans and ensure internal collaboration to support territory direction.
  • Monitor territory performance and proactively adjust strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Collect and analyze competitive intelligence to inform strategic responses to industry challenges.
  • Act as the communication bridge between Arbella and its independent agents.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with agents and key industry contacts.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to agents.
  • Coordinate communication strategies with internal partners.
  • Ensure agents are informed about the company's initiatives and achievements.
  • Lead or coordinate training programs for agents as necessary.
  • Deliver reports and feedback on performance as required.

Success Factors:

  • Achieve territory production goals.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen relationships and grow business through agency appointments and book transfers.
  • Meet loss ratio targets and contribute positively to the company's combined ratio.
  • Maintain effective communication with agents regarding business development.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal business units to achieve territory objectives.
