About the Role

Berry Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations for our Southeast region. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations, including inventory control, space management, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Schedule and oversee the warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Assess the need for equipment and staffing to ensure effective loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all inventory residing within the warehouse.
  • Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
  • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
  • Prepare for, and participate in all audits.
  • Implement and oversee safety protocols for the assigned locations and staff.
  • Maintain documentation and keeping of accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Drive a safety culture throughout the department and support all safety initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/education combination.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including people management.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and layout design.
  • Record of experience that demonstrates proven team leadership skills and the ability to influence others at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to support customer and plant requirements (20-30% domestic).

  • Knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics, including import/export and customs regulations, including security requirements to include certification in dangerous goods handling and aviation security.
  • High degree of knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing and automotive processes and components and of supply chain management.
  • Strong IT systems knowledge and skills, including knowledge and understanding of specialist systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Bill of Material (BOM), and customer data systems.
  • Advanced Excel user.
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate technical and complex data and provide meaningful information.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous.
