Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products for our Southeast operations. This role will be responsible for supervising daily warehouse activities, scheduling and managing the warehouse team, and ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and shipping.
  • Schedule and oversee the warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Assess the need for equipment and staffing to ensure effective loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials is adequate, along with oversight of maintenance on lift equipment.
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all inventory residing within the warehouse.
  • Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
  • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
  • Prepare for, and participate in all audits.
  • Implement and oversee safety protocols for the assigned locations and staff.
  • Maintain documentation and keeping of accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Drive a safety culture throughout the department and support all safety initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/education combination.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including people management.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and layout design.
  • Record of experience that demonstrates proven team leadership skills and the ability to influence others at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to support customer and plant requirements - 20-30% Domestic.

  • Advanced Excel user.
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate technical and complex data and provide meaningful information.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous.
