IT Database Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Georgia's Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health at the Tifton Campus as an IT Database Professional. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and developing data Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) routines for data import and export.
Key Responsibilities- Develop ETL routines for data import and export, ensuring high fidelity between source data and downstream products.
- Analyze data in source format, understand source data types, schema, and ontology to accurately match with concepts in destination data formats.
- Develop queries to summarize data for use in data reports and value-added export, working collaboratively with programmers at the center for delivery of some reports to users online or through scheduled report delivery.
- Routine debugging, quality control, and quality assurance for both data products and automated routines.
- Document current routines, research alternative methods, and determine the most effective solutions for meeting end-user expectations.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with sufficient experience to show competence and innovation in application development. Familiarity with AWS Services for Data warehousing, Microsoft SQL Server, and spatial data is highly desirable.
