Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Records Information Specialist to join our team at Service Corporation International. As a Records Information Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing property records, contracts, and legal documents to establish ownership and rights of property. You will also be responsible for data entry, reconciliation, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze property records, contracts, and legal documents to establish ownership and rights of property
  • Enter data into electronic spreadsheets with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Reconcile discrepancies between multiple record sources
  • Utilize superior attention to detail to identify variances in location records
  • Assist with quality assurance and analysis of Excel spreadsheets
  • Perform quality reviews of completed reconciliation work
  • Manage workload and provide summary reports to management as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance or relevant field of study preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years applicable work experience in area requiring strong attention to detail
  • Lean experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Funeral and/or Cemetery field operations
  • Intermediate Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot-tables, v-lookups, and other intermediate functions)
Work Environment

This role requires frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up to 6 hours per day, and sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day. Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently is also required.

Physical Demands

This role requires physical effort requiring manual dexterity, including paperwork, calculators, computers, and phone usage. Ability to ascend/descend step-ladders to retrieve files from ground floor and top shelves of vaults, often in tight spaces, is also required.

Salary and Benefits
