Contract and Administrative Services Specialist

SUNY Ulster is seeking a highly skilled Contract and Administrative Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our professional staff, you will provide administrative support to the Vice President for Administration and Finance and work closely with College Counsel.
Key Responsibilities- Review and prepare contracts and letters of agreement for the Vice President's approval, ensuring compliance with college policies and procedures.
- Manage and track all college contracts, including insurance records, and prepare contracts and RFPs for various college projects and consultants.
- Assist in risk management assessment, including communication with the college's insurance broker and tracking of capital expenditures.
- Develop and maintain procedures for business operations, including travel, procurement, risk management, and administrative services.
- Prepare financial and statistical reports for internal management and external agencies.
- Assist with the annual college audit and provide confidential assistance to the Office of the President as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
- Minimum of five years' experience in an administrative office, with considerable experience in general office practices and procedures, financial accounting practices and procedures, and risk management and contract interpretation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to understand and interpret complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of various software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Google, and Adobe Pro.
- Knowledge of New York State Department of Education rules and regulations and SUNY guidelines and procedures.
