**Sign-On Bonus: $500 ($250 after the first week of training and $250 after 90 days of successful employment)**

Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist - Full Time

Location: Holyoke, MA

Compensation: $19.55 per hour, plus a bi-weekly stipend of $60 for back-up driving duties

Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays; one Saturday per month from 10:00 AM to 1:45 PM required

Role Summary:
  • Facilitates and nurtures employment connections between clients and local employers, ensuring access to a variety of job training and educational resources. Responsibilities encompass vocational counseling, job development, placement, employer engagement, and client relations. Collaborates closely with members to enhance career readiness, social skills, health and wellness, and self-sufficiency. Candidates with experience in human services, direct support, job coaching, and career guidance are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
  • A High School diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience is required; an Associate's degree with one year of experience is preferred.
Requirements:
  • Must serve as the Community Engagement Specialist and back-up driver.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle is essential.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and physical examination, with a verified acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet navigation.
  • A willingness to network and demonstrate strong relationship-building skills is crucial.
  • Must be able to travel within the region to visit residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations.
