Job Summary:

Serves as a leader, mentor, and role model to facilitate the design and implementation of nursing research activities and engage nurses in clinical inquiry that supports the University of Tennessee Medical Center's goals and objectives.

Ensures compliance with all Magnet Program requirements related to nursing research and evidence-based nursing practice. Builds and strengthens local academic partnerships to advance nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements structures to advance and support the dissemination of nursing research and evidence-based practice projects, such as manuscript publications and conference presentations.
  • Maintains professional networks within the University of Tennessee Medical Center and externally as applicable to promote programmatic growth and interdisciplinary research.
  • Leads strategically aligned system-level evidence-based practice projects and research studies as assigned.
  • Assures work is integrally involved and aligned with the goals of maintaining the organization's Magnet designation, accreditations, as well as the organization's and nursing's strategic plan.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Doctorate Preferred
  • Master's degree in Nursing Required

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in professional organization
